ABOUT
​
The work of Sonja Cabalt explores the beauty and fragility of nature. The underwater world, microbiology and imaginary life forms are important points of departure in her practice.
With an intuitive, tactile approach and experimental use of materials, she develops organic structures that reference the invisible and unknown life around us; forms that seem to breathe, grow, or emerge.

In her work, she invites the viewer to pause and reflect on what usually goes unnoticed and to see the world in a different way.
Her sculptures and installations spark curiosity about all forms of life beyond our immediate field of vision.
In addition, she also works on commission.
